The wrong number of the Aadhar on the place of the PAN card may have to be paid heavily, the penalty of Rs 10,000
Recently,
the government has given the option of giving information of the Aadhaar card
at the place of PAN card.
After
that, you can give a high value transaction, buy a car, place a base card
instead of a PAN card while buying a house. But it also has a major
disadvantage.
If you
give an incorrect base number then you may have to pay a fine of Rs. 10,000.
This provision will be effective from
September 1, 2019. The law will be amended for this, whose information will be
provided through notification.
A senior official said that if a person gives
wrong number of Aadhaar card, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000 each.
However, before the penalty is imposed, the person's talk will be heard once.
Another official said that the existing rule will be changed in the budget
presented to 5 Jules. In which the base number can be given at the place of the
PAN card. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget speech that
1.2 billion people have a Aadhar card in the country, while only 220 million
people have a PAN card.
According to the proposed new rule in the budget
proposal, the income tax department will receive PAN card from the UIDAI after
receiving the demographic data on the basis of 'Aadhaar number' on the basis of
which no PAN number is available. In the Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala
Sitharaman proposed that if a taxpayer has already added his Aadhar to his PAN,
then he can opt for use of the Aadhar number instead of PAN card under the Income
Tax Act.
