WHAT IS AADHAR CARD?

Base means Sahara or foundation. Any Indian resident may wish to apply for any age or gender basis card. The base is a unique number of 12 digits which is issued to the Indian residents after completion of the verification process by UIDAI. The person who is prepared for the process of nomination of Aadhaar card will have to provide minimum demographic and biometric information during the enrollment process.

A resident may not have more than one base. Aadhaar card is associated with biometric data and so if the future resident who already has the Aadhaar card, if the person then applies the new Aadhaar card then this application will be rejected, because the person's first Aadhaar number has already been issued from the person, and the biometric data of that person is already linked to its base number in the database.

Aadhaar is a paperless online identity card, which is defined as life-time resident. The Aadhaar card is inspected online and hence it is economical. Due to the unique and strong nature of the Aadhaar card, fake identification cards will be easily ended. And hence, it is mandatory to provide Aadhaar card in all Government welfare schemes and programs from now on.
\With this, service delivery will be effective, which will lead to transparency and good governance. This is the only program in which state-of-the-art digital and online IDs are being provided free of cost to people and at a large scale.

Aadhar number is devoid of any intelligence and does not categorize people on the basis of caste, religion, income, health and geography. Aadhaar number is proof of identity, however, it does not give any rights to citizenship or domicile to the Aadhaar number holder.

Aadhar card is verified with the help of online authentication device which connects to UIDAI Central Identity Repository and responds yes or no to the answer. If the resident's data is filtered with biometric details then the orientation will be sucessful, otherwise the orientation will fail.

Any agency and service provider can contact the Central Unique Identification Database and confirm the beneficiary's base identity.
